Yup, that’s me and Ziggy Marley.
Story time… Back on Februray 26th, I got an email from Ziggy Marley’s website manager who said that Ziggy Marley had heard my Ziggy vs. Rihanna mashup and that she, the website manager, wanted to put it on ziggymarley.com. This was such a cool email to receive I had never thought anything would happen like this. So after going back and forth many times, she informed that she would not be able to put it on the website because of a new album that he had coming out. So on the last email exchanged I just thought I would throw out “You know if Ziggy is ever in town, maybe we can set up a meet and greet.” She was polite and said i’ll see what I can do. Fast forward to june, I learn that Ziggy has a concert and so I decide to email her to see if If can get anything going. Within two days she informs me that she got me tickets and a meet and greet. So I got third row tickets and got to go backstage to meet Ziggy Marley. We talked for a little while, and he even knew who I was, and he told me that he liked my work. Needless to say one of the coolest experiences of my life. I’ve been listening to Ziggy Marley since I was in second grade. It was unbelievable.
